Today’s AI Tool is Exportly

TLDR
A Chrome extension that supercharges sales prospecting by integrating Clay's data engine with AI-driven workflows and enrichment tools.

Problem It Addresses
Sales teams often struggle with fragmented prospecting tools, limited contact data, and the manual effort required to personalize outreach at scale. Traditional tools like ZoomInfo and Apollo are hard to customize and lack seamless AI integration for modern sales motions.

Solution
Exportly connects directly to Clay and enables users to run personalized, automated sales plays using AI, without needing in-depth Clay knowledge. It centralizes data enrichment, CRM syncing, and outreach automation into a simple extension designed for sales teams.

Here’s how it delivers value:

  • Unified Prospecting Data: Aggregates over 150 data vendors to get 2x more verified contacts using Clay’s waterfall enrichment.

  • AI-Powered Outreach: Uses Claygent and ChatGPT to generate personalized insights, emails, and research in seconds.

  • Seamless CRM & Workflow Integration: Syncs enriched contact data with CRMs and launches Clay-powered workflows with one click.

Joey’s GTM Idea of the Day

Stop Selling Outcomes. Start Selling Control.

Everyone in GTM says the same thing: “Sell the outcome, not the product.”

But there’s a flaw in that advice. Buyers don’t actually crave outcomes. They crave control over those outcomes.

Think about it.

A VP of Sales doesn’t just want “more pipeline.” They want confidence they can produce pipeline when they need it. A founder doesn’t want “faster growth.” They want the levers to predict and repeat growth.

That’s why most pitches fall flat. They promise results without showing how the buyer stays in the driver’s seat.

The best GTM motions flip the script. They sell agency. They show how the buyer keeps control—through visibility, predictability, or ownership of the process.

Example: Gong didn’t sell “better call outcomes.” They sold control over the sales conversation—real-time insight into what was working, what wasn’t, and how to fix it. That feeling of control is addictive.

Or look at Notion. It doesn’t sell “productivity.” It sells control over your workflow. You decide how to structure your world. That’s why people love it.

How to Use This

  1. Rewrite your value prop: Instead of “We help you achieve X,” try “We help you take control of X.”

  2. Audit your demo: Every step should reinforce the buyer’s sense of control—visibility, customization, predictability.

  3. Shift your proof points: Highlight stories where customers gained control, not just results.

Control is the hidden currency of trust. When your buyer feels it, they buy faster, stay longer, and tell others.
