Tactic is a no-code AI platform that automates customer and market research to drive more efficient and precise GTM execution.

Problem It Addresses:
Go-to-market teams often spend excessive time manually researching prospects, piecing together fragmented data sources, and missing out on high-fit accounts. Traditional tools offer generic datasets that lack the depth, specificity, or automation required to scale personalized outreach and revenue operations.

Solution:
Tactic delivers a no-code AI data engine that scrapes the web, CRM, APIs, and 3rd-party sources to build tailored customer insights and market intelligence in real time. It automates prospect discovery, customer segmentation, and GTM data enrichment without requiring technical expertise.

Here’s how it delivers value:

  • Higher Precision: Custom signals and data points tuned to your specific GTM motion, outperforming generic intent and enrichment tools.

  • Time Savings: Reduces manual research with automated, structured data delivery—saving up to 10+ hours per rep per week.

  • Ease of Use: No-code interface and prebuilt workflows allow teams to extract insights quickly and iterate without engineers.

Joey’s GTM Idea of the Day

10 reasons PLG expansion to enterprise fails

  1. Usage is confused with intent
Accounts are active, but no one has validated why they are using the product, what problem it maps to, or whether it is tied to a priority initiative.

  2. Discovery happens too late
By the time sales engages, the product is already positioned in the buyer’s mind. Assumptions are set. Reframing becomes uphill instead of additive.

  3. The wrong champion emerges
PLG often attracts power users, not power buyers. The person who loves the product may not be able to sponsor an enterprise decision.

  4. Value is proven tactically, not strategically
The product works. Everyone agrees. What is missing is a clear narrative for impact, risk reduction, and organizational change.

  5. Pricing anchors too low
Self-serve plans set expectations that enterprise pricing later struggles to reset, even when scope and value are fundamentally different.

  6. Sales shows up without context
Reps see usage dashboards but lack insight into the account’s political dynamics, buying process, and competing initiatives.

  7. PLG replaces discovery instead of feeding it
Teams assume the product experience has already “done the work,” so essential questions never get asked.

  8. Expansion signals are lagging indicators
Teams wait for usage spikes or seat limits instead of proactively shaping expansion around outcomes and milestones.

  9. No clear transition moment exists
There is no designed handoff from product-led motion to sales-led motion. The account just drifts.

  10. Enterprise motion is bolted on, not built in
PLG succeeds early, then enterprise is layered on reactively. The result is a motion that competes with itself.
